SDJ - MATSURI STYLE

MATSURI STYLE is a Disney Store Japan exclusive plush keychain collection celebrating the sights, sounds, and flavours of a traditional Japanese summer festival (matsuri). Releasing July 24, 2026, the collection dresses Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck, Max, Perry the Platypus, and Stitch in festival wear — happi coats, jinbei, twisted headbands (nejiri hachimaki), and setta sandals — each holding a different festival treat or prop that captures a distinct piece of Japanese summer culture.

Every design carries its own festival detail: Mickey holds an uchiwa fan in a blue happi coat, Goofy plays taiko drum in an orange happi, Donald snacks on a chocolate banana with star-shaped sprinkles while wearing an oni mask, Max devours fluffy cotton candy (wataame) in a watermelon-print jinbei, Perry's platypus tail is decorated with the kanji for "festival" (祭), and Stitch cools down with a colourful shaved ice (kakigori) while wearing a fox mask, his jinbei dyed in shaved-ice colours.

Each piece features a Japanese kanji or hiragana character woven into the design — Mickey's blue happi bears "み," Goofy's orange happi bears "ぐ," Perry's happi bears "ぺ," and Stitch's jinbei bears "氷" (ice) — a detail that makes these keychains especially popular as souvenirs for fans who want an authentically Japanese design element in their collection.

All six items are officially licensed Disney Store Japan plush keychains, designed for the Japanese market and not sold through Disney Store locations outside Japan. Each is available for pre-order ahead of the July 24, 2026 release.
