Disney Store Shinsaibashi Parco Grand Opens in Osaka — With 23 Store-Exclusive Items You Won't Find Anywhere Else

On August 26, 2026, Disney Store Japan opens the doors to its newest and most ambitious store yet: Disney Store Shinsaibashi Parco, located on the 5th floor of Shinsaibashi Parco in the heart of Osaka. To celebrate, the store is releasing 23 exclusive items infused with genuine Osaka spirit — and at LEALEA MART, we've sourced the collection directly from Japan so fans everywhere can get their hands on it.

Here's everything you need to know about the store, the story behind its design, and the merchandise that comes with it.

A Japan-First Store Design: "The Magical Journey"

Disney Store Shinsaibashi Parco isn't just a new location — it's Disney Store Japan's first-ever store built entirely around a single, original story. The concept follows Mickey Mouse, disguised as a "sorcerer's apprentice," discovering a mysterious book that sets off a magical journey. Throughout the store, a steam locomotive called the Train of Wonder carries Disney's characters along on that journey, weaving the story into the physical space itself.

At the entrance, Stitch — dressed as the train's engineer — welcomes guests into the store. Elsewhere, Chip and Dale can be found helping produce the pixie dust that powers the locomotive, and Disney characters appear throughout the store bringing the "magical journey" theme to life. The store carries roughly 1,500 Disney and Pixar items, including Disney Store Japan's original character lines UniBEARsity and UniBestiez, the popular plush series Uru Pocha Chan, lifestyle goods, snacks, apparel, and collaborations with other well-known brands.

The Shinsaibashi Parco Grand Open Exclusive Collection

To mark the opening, Disney Store Japan has released a 23-item collection found only at this store and — for a limited time — through official channels shipping from Japan. The designs put Mickey & Friends in celebratory red-and-white striped outfits made specifically for the occasion, with playful Osaka touches woven throughout: ribbons and confetti styled after okonomiyaki ingredients, and a cheerful Chip and Dale duo holding spatulas as if ready to cook.

The lineup spans plush toys, plush keychains, an eco bag and shopping bag range featuring the "SHINSAIBASHI" wordmark, stationery, and snacks. One of the most distinctive parts of the collection comes from Disney Store Japan's beloved Uru Pocha Chan plush series, which introduces two uniquely Osaka-themed designs: Mickey dressed as takoyaki, and Donald Duck dressed as okonomiyaki — arguably the two most iconic foods associated with the city.

Confirmed items include:

Why This Collection Is So Hard to Find

Store-opening exclusives are some of the rarest items Disney Store Japan produces. Unlike seasonal collections, which may reappear in future years with new designs, store-opening merchandise is a true one-time release — tied to a single store, a single date, and a fixed, limited production run. Once the Shinsaibashi Parco opening stock sells out, it will not be restocked, made again, or sold at any other Disney Store location.

That makes this collection especially appealing to serious Disney Store Japan collectors, who often specifically seek out store-opening items as some of the most genuinely scarce pieces in the entire product catalogue.

Grand Opening Extras

On top of the merchandise itself, Disney Store Shinsaibashi Parco is running a handful of opening celebrations:

  • Guests spending ¥5,000 or more receive a free exclusive tote bag, while supplies last
  • A commemorative Shinsaibashi Parco shop card is available on request
  • A Disney Store Club points campaign (5x points) runs from August 26–28, 2026
  • The store's popular "Aiko" janken (rock-paper-scissors) event launches at this location from September 9, 2026, with a new store-specific card

Grand opening day (August 26) requires an advance visit reservation through the Disney Store Club app in Japan.
