Spooky but Fun is a Tokyo DisneySea exclusive merchandise collection for Disney Halloween 2026, built around two original characters and one very gentle story. On sale from September 15, 2026, the range introduces Kowagari Obake-chan — a little ghost who is, despite being a ghost, rather easily frightened — and Kabo Lantern, the tiny pumpkin lantern who becomes her friend.

The story runs across the collection's artwork. Kowagari Obake-chan is nervous on her own, jittery and unsettled, so she hides away in the shadows. Then something small approaches. Out of a pumpkin lantern comes a tiny Kabo Lantern, glowing softly and lighting up everything around her. With Kabo Lantern beside her, the timid little ghost isn't frightened any more.

It's a warm, gently-told take on Halloween that sits alongside Tokyo DisneySea's main Disney Halloween range rather than duplicating it — where that collection plays on Disney's characters being startled in a haunted park, Spooky but Fun is about friendship chasing the fear away. The designs are made to be worn together, so friends and families visiting the park can match as a pair.

All items are officially licensed Tokyo Disney Resort exclusives, sold at Tokyo DisneySea during the Disney Halloween event period. As with all Tokyo Disney Resort seasonal merchandise, items are produced in limited quantities and will not be restocked once the event ends.
