Every autumn, Tokyo Disney Resort transforms — and 2026's Disney Halloween event brings one of the most characterful merchandise collections the parks have released in years. Going on sale September 15, 2026, the range is built around a wonderfully simple idea: lured in by ghostly music, Mickey and friends have accidentally wandered into a mysterious, haunted park — and their startled faces say it all.

When Is Disney Halloween 2026 at Tokyo Disney Resort?
The Disney Halloween event runs from September 16 to October 31, 2026 at Tokyo DisneySea, with a parallel event at Tokyo Disneyland. Merchandise goes on sale slightly earlier, from September 15, 2026.
At Tokyo DisneySea, Halloween decorations transform Mediterranean Harbor and the American Waterfront, each styled to suit its own area's atmosphere. Entertainment includes the Disney Halloween Greeting, where Mickey and friends arrive by boat loaded with sweets and an enormous pumpkin (about 15 minutes, twice daily at Mediterranean Harbor), and Nighttime High Halloween, a five-minute fireworks show set to Halloween music that lights up the park sky once each evening.
One detail worth knowing if you're visiting: full costume dress-up is permitted from September 15–30 and October 16–31, but not during October 1–15.
The Story Behind the Merchandise
The main design line takes its cue from a single mischievous premise. Ghostly music drifts through the night, Disney's characters follow the sound — and find themselves somewhere they very much did not intend to be. Across the collection, Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and the gang appear with a whole range of startled, wide-eyed, and comically alarmed expressions.
There's also a recurring softer motif: Mickey Mouse fast asleep in his pyjamas, blissfully unaware of everything happening around him. This design appears on the pin badge, the cushion, and the slide mirror, and it's easily one of the most endearing things in the range.
What's in the Collection?
The 35-item lineup spans four distinct design lines:
The Main "Haunted Park" Line (29 items) This is the core range. Highlights include a ghost-shaped body bag styled so it looks like a friendly ghost is trailing along behind you, a glow-in-the-dark charm set where the ghosts light up after sunset, and a Tomica die-cast set featuring the Western River Railroad in full Halloween livery. There's also a hoodie with a ghost peeking out near the pocket and a full back print (M/L), plush badges of Mickey, Minnie, and Donald, a three-piece Huey, Dewey & Louie plush charm set, plus towels, a mug, a cushion, a tote bag, a drawstring pouch, a leisure sheet, stationery, and a ten-photo set of the characters in their Halloween costumes.
Winnie the Pooh in a Pumpkin Costume (2 items) A plush and matching plush badge featuring Pooh dressed as a pumpkin — the sweetest thing in the entire collection.
Disney Villains (3 items) Halloween is the Villains' season, and they get their own sub-line: a blind-box keychain with six possible designs, a complete six-piece set for collectors who don't want to gamble, and a Hades headband inspired by the fast-talking lord of the underworld from Hercules.
Tokyo DisneySea 25th Anniversary (1 item) Releasing the same day, a Jubilee badge set celebrating Tokyo DisneySea's 25th anniversary as part of the park's Sparkling Jubilee programme, running through March 2027. Available at Tokyo DisneySea only.
Don't Miss the Halloween Snacks
Tokyo Disney Resort's confectionery is a souvenir category all its own, and this year's Halloween lineup leans into distinctly Japanese flavours. The chocolate crunch tin pairs milk chocolate with kaki no tane rice crackers and white chocolate with imo kenpi candied sweet potato. The assorted cookie tin includes six varieties, among them a purple sweet potato cookie that's perfectly autumnal. There's a maple pumpkin churro snack in the iconic Mickey shape, a boldly flavoured black mala pasta snack, and café au lait cookies that come with one randomly selected sticker from a set of eight.
Why Is This Collection Hard to Get Outside Japan?
Tokyo Disney Resort merchandise is produced exclusively for the parks by the Oriental Land Company under license from Disney. It's a completely separate product line from Disney Store Japan, US Disney Stores, or shopDisney — which means these items simply aren't sold anywhere outside the two Tokyo parks.
Seasonal event merchandise adds a second layer of scarcity: it's produced in limited quantities for a fixed window, and once the event ends on October 31, 2026, restocking doesn't happen.
